Per local government emergency order and according to guidance from the CDC the following plan will remain in place to protect our staff and customers:
Mitigation
- Bananas will regulate the capacity of store to maintain a 6-foot barrier between customers and staff
- All staff and customers are required to wear masks or face covering in all areas of the business open to the public. All masks must cover your nose and mouth, no exceptions. If customers are unable to wear a mask, they may utilize our curbside shopping option. Customers who have to be asked more than once to replace their mask or wear their mask correctly will be asked to leave
- All employees will wash hands throughout the day for at least 20 seconds
- Bananas discourages any contact including handshakes or high fives. We are not being rude
- All public areas of business will be cleaned and disinfected at beginning and end of shifts
- All staff and customers must remain 6 feet apart while in the store
- All staff have been asked to monitor themselves for symptoms and report to manager
- Barriers will be used at the register
- Bananas has suspended all in-store events throughout the COVID-19 crisis
- Bananas will monitor daily the health information reported by local authorities and assess the situation as needed
- Bananas has a designated COVID-19 coordinator who will provide and track information for employees
Contingency
- If an employee of Bananas becomes sick with COVID-19 symptoms that employee will be asked to get tested and remain home until the results have been returned
- If an employee of Bananas is positive for COVID-19, Bananas will close for 48 hours to allow for proper cleaning and disinfecting of areas
- All Sick leave policies and practices are consistent with public health guidance, follow state and federal workplace laws and policies, and are shared with employees.
- Bananas will monitor local government and COVID-19 cases and make decisions about operating practices and hours accordingly
- If there is additional stay at home orders, Bananas will continue to operate online and provide curbside pickup.
